Family Music Festival @ The LeFrak Center
Sunday, August 2 • 11-2 PM • LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park
Free to attend; $5 per child for mini-instrument lessons
Soak up the summer sun with a day of music, movement, and family-centered activities at The LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park! The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will help turn Lakeside into an interactive musical playground at its Family Music Festival, open to families and park-goers of all ages. Join us for three hours of musical adventures. Performances on our two stages are completely free for kids and parents!
We are also offering 30-minute group mini-instrument lessons in ukulele, bucket drumming, and woodwinds taught by BKCM faculty. Tickets for a mini-instrument lesson are $5 for one child + one adult, for a specific time period. Please join us at the door for the lessons a few minutes before your scheduled time. We cannot let people in who are more than 5 minutes late. If you’re planning to visit the Splash Pad next door, please dry off before entering the building. At the end of the workshop, each kid will get a special Splash Pad-friendly whistle!
