  2. If your shoe size is a half-size, get skates the next size up, as half-sized skates aren’t available.
  3. Skates should be tied as tightly as possible and fit snugly and feel tight (but not uncomfortable) around your foot and ankle.
  4. When you’re tying your skates, don’t forget the hooks at the top! This is very important to get that snug fit you’ll need for safety and comfort.
  5. You can always exchange skates that don’t fit for a different size.
  6. Return your skates to the Rental Return counter.
What to Do When You Get Your Skates

1. Make sure your foot is fully in the skate, and the heel is pressed firmly to the bottom of the boot

2. Start by crossing laces over each other in an “x” pattern and pull tightly

3. Continue the cross pattern through the hooks until you reach the top of the boot

4. Pull the laces tight, then tie a bow at the top of the boot.

5. If the laces are too long, don’t wrap them around your ankle. Instead, make a double bow and pull tightly for extra security

6. Get on the ice and have fun!

SKATING CONDITIONS MAY NOT ALWAYS BE PERFECT. ICE IS VERY SLIPPERY. BEWARE OF ALL HAZARDS. ALWAYS SKATE ACCORDING TO PREVAILING CONDITIONS AND RINK GUARD ADVICE. RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF ALL CLAIMS BY PERSONS ENTERING THE FACILITY
