New to Ice Hockey? Here’s How to Start! 

We’ll focus on fundamental skating and stickhandling skills, progressing to passing, shooting, and defensive tactics.

Then we’ll put it all together in full-ice scrimmages…that’s where the fun is! For all adult skaters aged 16 and older. And goalies are free!

Required Equipment for Every Class

Hockey helmet with cage, hockey skates, elbow pads, shoulder pads, hockey pants, shin pads, hockey gloves, hockey stick. Goalies must supply their own equipment.

In addition, we recommend jersey, hockey socks, jock shorts, mouth guard and neck guard.

Participants skate at their own risk, and the facility staff are not responsible for injuries.

Missed activities, reservations or sessions of any kind cannot be transferred to another session, rescheduled, credited or refunded for any reason (including due to COVID-19 and/or quarantining) unless cancelled by LeFrak Center at Lakeside. Your registration or purchase guarantees you a space in the session regardless of your attendance.

Please be sure of your purchase. We do not offer credits, transfers or refunds for any reason. No exceptions.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone for any reason.

All pay-as-you-go programs require online pre-registration before you arrive at the rink

Players must prepay online prior to rink entry.

Goalies must prepay online prior to rink entry. Goalies who attend the session will receive a full refund. Goalies who sign-up and do not attend the session will forfeit their refund. No exceptions.
